Senior Labor and Employment Counsel

Job Summary

Serving as a trusted legal advisor, the full-time Senior Labor and Employment Counsel will provide business-focused counsel on employment law, workforce management, and regulatory compliance while managing complex legal issues and drafting employment-related agreements in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel stakeholders on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, providing guidance in compliance strategies to mitigate organizational risk
• Provide legal guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, performance management, and workplace investigations
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements and HR vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws

Required qualifications

• J.D. and Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience in Business, Finance, Legal, or a related field
• Minimum five years of labor and employment law experience, preferably advising employers
• Admission to a state bar in good standing
• Experience supporting Human Resources functions in a corporate environment
• Prior in-house counsel experience with multi-state employment law compliance
