Senior Language Data Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Language Data Scientist specializing in search.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead long-term projects with high complexity and ambiguity from initial client discussions to completion
• Design and improve workflows for creating data for AI/ML training and evaluation, including human annotation and synthetic methods
• Assess and optimize search-specific evaluation approaches, including metrics and human evaluation studies for search result quality

Required Qualifications

• MA in computational linguistics, data science, computer science, or a related field; PhD preferred
• Extensive experience with search-specific language data and designing human evaluation tasks
• Advanced knowledge of statistics and data analysis methods
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and tools, and proficiency in Python
• Deep understanding of data pipelines to support ML and NLP workflows
