Senior Lead Database Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the reliability and operational excellence of the database infrastructure, the full-time Senior Lead Database Reliability Engineer will drive the technical roadmap, design automation-first database platforms, and lead operational excellence initiatives in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the technical roadmap for database reliability across various database technologies, ensuring high availability and performance
• Design and build automation-first database platforms using Kubernetes and develop production quality tooling for lifecycle management
• Lead operational excellence by defining service level objectives and resolving critical production incidents while mentoring engineering teams

Required Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in Database Reliability Engineering or related fields with technical leadership experience
• Deep expertise in at least one major relational database, preferably PostgreSQL, along with operational experience in various other database technologies
• Strong experience in building and operating stateful workloads on Kubernetes
• Hands-on software development experience using Go or Python for automation and platform tooling
• Practical experience using AI tools to enhance engineering productivity and database operations
