Senior Legal Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing legal team, the full-time Senior Legal Counsel will provide strategic guidance on employment, privacy, and security legal matters while working remotely to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal matters related to employment, privacy, and security, transforming complex regulations into actionable advice
• Partner with internal stakeholders, including human resources and IT, to ensure compliance with legal standards
• Build foundational processes in a fast-paced environment to support the organization's mission in mental healthcare

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive legal experience as a practicing attorney
• 5+ years of employment law experience providing strategic guidance on various employment law matters
• 5+ years of healthcare privacy and security law experience, including HIPAA and state consumer privacy laws
• Strong writing, analytic, communication, and interpersonal skills for practical guidance in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with state AI laws in the employment and privacy context
