Senior Legal Counsel (State Licensed)

Job Summary

To support a growing legal function, the full-time Senior Legal Counsel (State Licensed) will focus on complex commercial contracting and data partnerships while collaborating with various teams in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex commercial negotiations and manage inbound data provider agreements critical to the company's product infrastructure
• Support broader legal workstreams, including corporate governance, employment matters, and outside counsel management
• Advise on privacy and data protection matters, partnering with cross-functional teams on product risk assessments and new feature launches

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of legal experience with significant in-house experience at a technology or high-growth B2B company
• Strong background in commercial contracting and technology transactions, capable of leading complex negotiations independently
• Experience in areas such as privacy, product counseling, corporate governance, or employment
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing
• Practical fluency with AI and legal technology, with experience in building AI-powered workflows
