Job Summary
To support the expansion of legal and judicial transcription services, the freelance Senior Legal & Court Transcription Specialist will work remotely to transcribe court proceedings and provide expertise on formatting and compliance while mentoring other transcriptionists.
Key responsibilities
- Transcribe and review law-enforcement and legal recordings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements
- Provide subject-matter expertise for court transcription projects and assist in developing workflows and quality-control procedures
- Evaluate and mentor transcriptionists, while supporting operations with staffing and production estimates for court projects
Required qualifications
- Significant professional legal transcription experience
- Direct experience transcribing recorded court proceedings
- Familiarity with court-specific rules and formatting manuals
- Experience with transcript certification and quality assurance
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict accuracy and turnaround requirements
