Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior Life Underwriter, the full-time remote position will ensure effective risk selection for individual life insurance cases, requiring interaction with various teams and the ability to evaluate risks up to $3,500,000.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee risk assessment and selection for individual life insurance applications
• Collaborate with Underwriting, New Business, and distribution teams to streamline processes
• Initiate improvements in underwriting practices and lead departmental projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 4 years of life or health underwriting experience
• Proficient in AWD or similar systems, MS Office, and risk assessment skills
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Willingness to pursue further professional development, such as LOMA classes or FLMI designation
