Senior Life Underwriter
Job Summary
To support a growing Specialty Underwriting Team, the full-time Senior Life Underwriter will analyze complex underwriting assignments, cross-train in EB, GI/SI, and COLI business, and evaluate individual life insurance applications remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Cross-train and underwrite EB, GI/SI, and COLI business
- Make critical risk decisions on individual life insurance applications by evaluating medical histories and financial backgrounds
- Mentor team members and provide second signature reviews on life insurance applications
Required qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in underwriting individual life insurance
- Strong analytical skills in interpreting complex financial documents
- Undergraduate degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience
- Demonstrated excellence in risk assessment and decision-making
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
