Senior Life Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Associate, Life Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate life insurance applications and determine approval, decline, or need for additional information
• Review cases with Attending Physician Statements and manage relationships with agents and service personnel
• Accurately classify mortality risk for proposed insureds and handle referrals for substandard and decline cases

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of life underwriting experience required
• Strong customer service skills
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of medical impairments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
