Senior Linux Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure optimized and secure hosting platforms, the full-time Senior Linux Engineer will act as the final escalation point for complex server issues, manage Linux-based environments, and develop automation scripts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the final escalation point for diagnosing and resolving critical system failures and performance issues
• Manage and optimize Linux-based hosting environments and administer web servers and databases
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for server provisioning and utilize tools for infrastructure automation

Required qualifications:

• 11+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience in a web hosting or cloud environment
• 7+ years of experience in a Senior position or Level 3 Engineer role
• Expert knowledge of KVM and Libvirt with a minimum of 7+ years of experience
• Strong scripting ability in Perl, Bash, and Python
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
