Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer for a remote contract position, this role will focus on designing, building, administering, and troubleshooting large-scale Linux infrastructure with an emphasis on bare metal and enterprise storage.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and manage bare metal server deployment, architecture, and enterprise Linux infrastructure
• Oversee advanced Linux storage administration, including LVM, NFS, and Fibre Channel SAN
• Utilize strong troubleshooting skills across Linux OS, hardware, networking, and storage to ensure high availability and disaster recovery

Required qualifications

• Expert-level Linux administration experience, particularly with Ubuntu, Red Hat, and SUSE
• Deep expertise in bare metal infrastructure and enterprise storage solutions
• Strong hands-on experience with Ceph, including cluster architecture and performance tuning
• Proficient in networking concepts such as VLANs, routing, and DNS
• Experience with Bash and Python scripting for automation purposes
