Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer for a remote contract position, this role focuses on designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Linux-based infrastructure, including bare metal and AI Factory environments, without a DevOps emphasis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage bare metal infrastructure, including server hardware, BIOS/UEFI, and lifecycle management
- Deploy and optimize GPU-accelerated infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, ensuring performance and reliability
- Administer enterprise storage solutions, including Ceph and high-performance AI storage platforms
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level Linux administration, particularly with Ubuntu; experience with Red Hat and SUSE is a plus
- Proven experience with Bare Metal as a Service (BMaaS) and large-scale infrastructure environments
- Hands-on expertise in GPU technologies and AI Factory architecture
- Strong knowledge of advanced Linux storage administration and high-performance networking
- Experience with scripting in Bash or Python for automation and operational efficiency
