Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer for a remote contract role focused on designing, deploying, operating, and troubleshooting large-scale Linux-based infrastructure, including bare metal and AI Factory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage bare metal server deployment and lifecycle management, ensuring operational excellence in large-scale environments
- Deploy and support GPU-accelerated infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, optimizing performance and resource allocation
- Administer enterprise storage solutions and data platforms, including Ceph and high-performance AI storage technologies
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level Linux administration experience, particularly with Ubuntu, Red Hat, and SUSE
- Strong hands-on experience with Bare Metal as a Service (BMaaS) and GPU infrastructure management
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise storage solutions, including LVM, NFS, and Fibre Channel SAN
- Proficiency in networking concepts relevant to data center operations, including VLANs and routing
- Experience with high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery in mission-critical environments
