Senior Linux Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support a global cloud infrastructure, the full-time Senior Linux Systems Engineer will manage operations for a SaaS platform, focusing on configuration management, automation, and troubleshooting in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to configuration management and infrastructure as code for the client's global private cloud
- Develop tools in Python, bash, and JavaScript to enhance automation and improve maintenance experience
- Troubleshoot database backup and restore failures, and support a variety of infrastructure services
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of strong Linux expertise and systems administration experience
- Familiarity with MySQL, Oracle, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies
- Working knowledge of Perl, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience in Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps and managing large-scale server infrastructure
- Understanding of ITIL v3 framework and its application to incidents and changes
