Senior Loan Counselor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Loan Counselor responsible for collecting on delinquent loans and counseling borrowers on loss mitigation options.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent customers to collect payments and reestablish payment patterns
• Negotiate payment schedules to avoid foreclosure and approve short-term repayment plans
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and assist borrowers with financial packages

Required Qualifications, Training and Education

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required
• Previous experience in mortgage loan servicing desired
• Experience in collections and/or default servicing desired
• Prior experience in loan counseling with MSP required
