Senior Loan Counselor

Job Summary

To support effective collections efforts, the hybrid-remote Senior Loan Counselor will manage delinquent loan accounts, counsel borrowers on loss mitigation solutions, and negotiate repayment arrangements while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate proactive contact with delinquent borrowers to reestablish payment patterns and reduce defaults
• Negotiate and restructure repayment plans in alignment with investor and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance collection strategies and support resolution efforts

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of investor and insurer guidelines preferred
• Previous experience in collections and default loan servicing preferred
• Experience with call center systems and telephony platforms advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong data entry skills required
