Senior Loan Counselor

Job Summary

To support effective loan recovery efforts, the full-time Senior Loan Counselor will engage with delinquent borrowers, negotiate repayment arrangements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate proactive contact with borrowers to reestablish payment patterns and reduce defaults
• Negotiate and restructure repayment plans, ensuring alignment with investor and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to maximize collection efforts and provide updates on portfolio performance

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in collections and default loan servicing is required
• Experience with ICE Mortgage Technology platforms, including MSP, is highly required
• Knowledge of investor and insurer guidelines preferred
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications required
