Job Summary
Managing a diverse and complex caseload of long-term disability claims, the full-time remote Senior Long Term Disability Claims Specialist will ensure timely and accurate decisions, collaborate with clinical and vocational partners, and serve as a subject matter expert on claims practices.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the entire claims process from initial intake to resolution, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop return-to-work strategies and assess benefit eligibility
- Mentor new team members and contribute to the refinement of internal procedures and workflows
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Long Term Disability claims, with a focus on complex cases
- Ability to independently manage a full caseload and make sound decisions
- Advanced knowledge of ERISA and related regulatory requirements
- Strong communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders
