Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Driving the development of innovative recommendation models, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will contribute to candidate generation, ranking, and embedding models for music surfaces, collaborating remotely with cross-functional teams in North America.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, and iterate on recommendation models for music surfaces at scale
• Enhance reward signals and recommendation quality across core surfaces like Home and Now Playing
• Collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Design partners to define success metrics and run A/B experiments

Required qualifications

• Strong background in machine learning with expertise in statistics, optimization, and generative AI
• Hands-on experience in building and shipping production machine learning systems, preferably in personalization
• Proficiency in implementing ML systems using Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with large-scale distributed data processing frameworks like Apache Beam or Apache Spark
• Ability to collaborate across teams on complex ML projects and navigate cross-functional stakeholders
