Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Transforming customer service experiences, the remote Senior Machine Learning Engineer will develop and optimize AI technologies, including chat and voice assistants, to deliver personalized support solutions at Airbnb.

Key responsibilities:

• Champion the development of novel ML systems and product integrations to solve real-world problems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to create efficient AI solutions for customer service
• Stay updated on the latest AI/ML technologies and share knowledge with the team

Required qualifications:

• PhD or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Hands-on expertise in LLM, including pretraining, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering
• Experience building Agentic AI systems with multi-agent orchestration and autonomous reasoning pipelines
• Proven track record of shipping production-grade ML/AI systems at scale with strong MLOps practices
• Excellent collaboration skills across Engineering, Product, and Design organizations
