Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with a focus on applied AI and modern LLM-based applications, this full-time remote position will develop and fine-tune large language models for intelligent browser interactions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences in Firefox.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for responsive browser interactions
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation, summarization, and intent modeling techniques in real-world workflows
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and launch user-facing AI features

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in applied machine learning, focusing on natural language processing or generative AI
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning and evaluating LLMs using modern tools and libraries
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering and evaluation strategies for generative applications
• Experience leading the end-to-end lifecycle of model development from data exploration to deployment
• Track record of building user-facing AI features with an emphasis on privacy and usability
