Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a passionate Senior Machine Learning Platform Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, responsible for leading technical efforts on machine learning infrastructure, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers while remaining hands-on in the codebase.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve core ML platform infrastructure, including feature stores and real-time model scoring services
• Drive technical decision-making for complex initiatives and lead system design discussions to align solutions with product goals
• Mentor and support other engineers through design feedback, code reviews, and onboarding while maintaining high code quality and system reliability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degrees are a plus
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, focusing on backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering
• Deep expertise in Python and experience building scalable, high-availability distributed systems in cloud environments (GCP, AWS)
• Experience working with ML systems from an infrastructure perspective, including deployment, serving, and monitoring
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases; familiarity with Snowflake or non-relational systems is a plus
