Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

To shape the future of personalized discovery and engagement, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will work remotely to own and improve machine learning models that power Spotify's Home feed and Shortcuts experience, design personalized recommendations, and build content recommendation systems for AI-powered user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance machine learning models and systems for the Home feed and Shortcuts experience
• Design, build, and deploy personalized recommendations for millions of global listeners
• Drive A/B testing and continuous optimization of recommendation quality and efficiency

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building and deploying machine learning systems in production
• Deep expertise in recommendation systems and large-scale content discovery platforms
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch for machine learning development
• Experience with large language model training and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with distributed machine learning workloads and data pipeline orchestration technologies
