Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance grocery recommendations and box personalization, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer will design, build, and operate scalable backend services and data pipelines while collaborating with data scientists and product engineers in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Improve the reliability, performance, and observability of production ML and optimization systems
• Own the path from trained model to production, including model versioning, safe rollout, and monitoring for data quality and model drift

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in MLOps, ML engineering, or DevOps with a focus on production ML infrastructure
• Strong Python and SQL skills; experience with Bash for automation
• Experience designing and operating backend services and APIs (e.g., FastAPI)
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and MLflow or comparable model lifecycle tooling
• Solid AWS fundamentals including IAM, networking, and containerized workloads
