Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Owning machine learning projects from problem definition through implementation, the fully remote Senior Machine Learning Engineer will focus on designing evaluation methodologies for AI systems, creating datasets, and improving LLM-based applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement evaluation methodologies for AI and machine learning systems
• Evaluate and improve LLM-based systems, including retrieval-augmented generation applications and safety systems
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to translate business goals into measurable ML objectives

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering or a related field
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and model evaluation
• Proficiency in Python and experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
• Experience training, fine-tuning, or adapting machine learning models, particularly with Large Language Models
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous problem spaces with incomplete requirements and limited data
