Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure model integrity in a high-stakes environment, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will independently challenge model owners across lending, fraud, and AML, while developing validation tooling and evaluating AI systems remotely within approved US locations.

Key responsibilities

• Independently challenge model owners by reproducing results and defending acceptance thresholds
• Identify and prove silent errors in models before they reach production
• Develop agentic validation tooling and evaluate ML systems end to end

Required qualifications

• A quantitative degree or equivalent experience in model building or validation in high-stakes domains
• Expertise in effective challenge methodologies, including reproduction and outcomes analysis
• Deep knowledge of applied ML and statistics across various model families
• Strong software and data engineering skills, particularly in Python and SQL
• Familiarity with model risk management frameworks and fair-lending standards
