Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on innovative machine learning challenges, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will develop and evaluate models and algorithms for AI safety, specifically addressing multi-modal Large Language Models (LLMs) and collaborating across teams in a remote or onsite capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop datasets and specialized models to evaluate and benchmark safety tracks including LLM Security and Agentic Safety
• Create filtering datasets and training recipes for various safety tracks, including Reinforcement Learning environments
• Research and deploy new techniques for model and system safety beyond post-training methodologies

Required qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• 8+ years of experience in systems software engineering or machine learning engineering
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in post-training of LLMs, including Supervised Fine-Tuning and safety data generation techniques
• 1+ years of expertise in LLM Security, Frontier Risks, or Agentic Safety
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning principles and frameworks, preferably PyTorch, with strong Python skills
