Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and deploying production ML models for ego-motion estimation and localization, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Engineer will work remotely or in the Ann Arbor, MI office, focusing on sensor fusion and state estimation algorithms to enhance autonomous vehicle technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy ML models for ego-motion estimation and localization using various vehicle sensors
• Analyze large-scale vehicle data to improve model performance and system robustness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate autonomous driving capabilities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 1+ year of experience
• Experience with AV or robotics localization systems such as LiDAR-based localization or SLAM
• Strong experience in developing and deploying ML models for perception or sensor fusion
• Proficiency with PyTorch and modern ML tooling for training and optimization
• Solid understanding of 3D geometry and probabilistic estimation techniques
