Senior Machine Learning Scientist

Job Summary

To support the integration of Machine Learning into educational products, the full-time Senior Machine Learning Scientist will focus on model training, dataset construction, and research while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to define research questions and curate data for optimal datasets
• Develop and tune Machine Learning models, ensuring best practices in dataset selection and architecture
• Communicate insights and model behaviors to peers and product owners while maintaining clean, efficient code

Required qualifications:

• Experience building Deep Learning and ML models with text data, including supervised and unsupervised learning
• Strong understanding of the mathematics and theory behind machine learning and deep learning
• At least 8 years of software engineering experience, particularly with Python, SQL, and Unix-based systems
• Proficiency in Machine/Deep Learning development tools such as AWS SageMaker, PyTorch, and Hugging Face
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field
