Senior Mainframe Application Programmer
Job Summary
To support the development and modernization of critical enterprise systems, the full-time Senior Mainframe Application Programmer will design, develop, test, and implement complex mainframe applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex mainframe applications and software solutions
- Analyze business and system requirements to translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in mainframe application development and programming
- Experience working with IMS, DB2, COBOL, and CICS in enterprise mainframe environments
- Proven experience in software development lifecycle methodologies
- Experience with large-scale transactional systems and mission-critical applications
