Senior Mainframe Assembler Developer

Job Summary

To support a remote contract role, the Senior Mainframe Assembler Developer will utilize extensive expertise in COBOL, Assembler, and CICS to design, code, and maintain application solutions while ensuring adherence to established processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, define, and document technical designs for data, workflows, and systems interfaces
• Develop and maintain application solutions, integrating changes to existing systems as needed
• Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications to resolve issues effectively

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with COBOL, Assembler, CICS, DB2, JCL, and batch processing
• Hands-on experience in an Agile environment is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and FIS systems is a plus
• Proven track record of technical coding skills and adherence to processes
• Experience with Serena ChangeMan ZMF and IBM Mainframe Assembly language is a bonus
