Senior Mainframe Automation Specialist
Job Summary
To lead and drive automation initiatives within the enterprise Mainframe environment, the full-time remote Senior Mainframe Automation Specialist will focus on implementing and optimizing automation using Broadcom OPS/MVS, IBM System Automation, and GDPS while enhancing automation maturity and supporting modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Mainframe automation using OPS/MVS and System Automation
- Develop and maintain automation for IPL processes, emphasizing stability and minimal manual intervention
- Support and enhance Disaster Recovery processes, including GDPS workflows and recovery automation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant education and/or work experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise automation, specifically with Broadcom OPS/MVS and IBM System Automation (SA z/OS)
- Experience with GDPS automation and NetView monitoring/integration
- Advanced scripting skills in REXX and strong z/OS core knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to work in high availability production environments and lead incident resolution
