Senior Mainframe Developer

Job Summary

To support a growing technology team, the full-time Senior Mainframe Developer will design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, MQ, and VSAM while working remotely in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications and conduct performance tuning and optimization
• Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration issues
• Develop technical documentation for business and support teams, ensuring alignment with functional and technical requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support, and maintenance
• Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS DC/DB, MQ, and VSAM
• Experience with enterprise-level ticketing systems and both waterfall and agile methodologies
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
