Senior Mainframe Developer
Job Summary
To support and enhance critical mainframe applications, the full-time remote Senior Mainframe Developer will leverage over 8 years of specialized technical experience in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM while acting as a technical lead and mentoring junior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications, ensuring performance tuning and optimization
- Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration issues
- Develop technical documentation and manage enterprise-level ticketing systems and operational workflows
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support, and maintenance
- Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Experience with version control systems and software development tools
