Senior Mainframe Developer
Job Summary
To support modernization initiatives, the remote Senior Mainframe Developer will analyze, develop, and maintain COBOL-DB2-CICS applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize legacy systems.
Key responsibilities
- Perform code screening and analysis of existing mainframe applications to identify dependencies and optimization opportunities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL-DB2-CICS based applications, including job automation and monitoring
- Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate on application enhancements and ongoing maintenance activities
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS
- Strong experience in batch processing and job scheduling with tools like Control-M
- Proficiency with Mainframe debugging and analysis tools such as Xpediter and File-AID
- Experience working in Agile and SDLC-driven environments
- Excellent collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders
