Senior Mainframe Developer
Job Summary
To support a growing technology practice, the full-time remote Senior Mainframe Developer will design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications utilizing COBOL, CICS, and DB2, while providing technical troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, MQ, and VSAM
- Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration issues
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe applications and database queries
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support, and maintenance
- Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS DC/DB, MQ, and VSAM
- Experience with enterprise-level ticketing systems and their operational workflows
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
