Senior Mainframe Programmer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mainframe System Programmer (z/OS).

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and customize operating systems and third-party ISV system software
• Collaborate with teams for problem determination, resolution, and implementation of software fixes and new versions
• Support mainframe hardware upgrades and provide informal project management for complex projects

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with installing ISV software from vendors
• 6+ years of experience with JCL, UNIX Shell, IBM system utilities, zSeries, z/OS, and MVS
• 6+ years of experience with software installation and customization
• 5+ years of experience with system performance, capacity planning, and disaster recovery
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
