Senior Mainframe Programmer
Job Summary
Providing premium software support for mainframe clients, the remote Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer will fulfill customer service orders, offer primary support for CICS TS-related issues, and assist in customer migrations while adhering to best practices and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Fulfill customer service orders for CICS TS and related OEM software products in a timely manner
- Provide primary support for reported problems and assist in customer migrations related to CICS TS
- Execute tasks associated with disaster recovery plans and adhere to ITSM change control procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience on the zSeries platform with hands-on technical experience related to CICS TS
- Thorough knowledge of CICS TS capabilities, installation, and tailoring
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts and configuration
- Experience with IBM's SMP/E and performance monitoring of CICS TS regions
