Senior Mainframe Software Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mainframe Sr. Software Engineer (Remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with clients and IT personnel to analyze system requests and develop specifications
- Adhere to System Development Life Cycle standards and prepare project-related documents
- Conduct problem analysis and propose resolution alternatives for technical systems and applications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience in system development and support for mainframe-based applications
- Proficiency in mainframe development tools such as COBOL, Assembler, and JCL
- Experience with systems development life cycle methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
- Ability to work in a team environment and mentor less experienced engineers
