Senior Mainframe Storage Engineer
Job Summary
Providing architectural guidance and operational support, the full-time Senior Mainframe Storage Engineer (IBM z/OS) will monitor and maintain the mainframe storage environment while collaborating with vendors and participating in disaster recovery planning, working onsite in Columbia, SC, or remotely nationwide.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the mainframe storage environment
- Provide technical leadership on storage strategy and best practices
- Collaborate with storage vendors on support, implementations, and enhancements
Required qualifications
- 9 years of related IT experience with 2 years in corporate planning or strategic development
- Strong expertise in IBM z/OS storage administration
- Experience with coding SMS Client routines and ISMF for client routine management
- HSM configuration and administration experience
- Four-year degree required; Master's degree preferred
