Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer - DB2 Physical.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide DB2 sysprog support and services for mainframe clients, including database software upgrades and administration
• Fulfill customer service orders and provide primary support for DB2 tables spaces, including on-call responsibilities
• Assist in customer migration services and execute tasks related to disaster recovery plans

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of professional experience in DB2 administration and systems programming support
• Experience with SMP/e and configuring DB2 in a parallel sysplex environment
• Knowledge of software management best practices and database security
• Ability to evaluate change requests and troubleshoot production database issues
