Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
Providing support for ongoing projects, the full-time Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer will manage the installation, upgrade, testing, configuration, and implementation of ISV software while working remotely in the United States.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor software performance and provide on-call support for incident and problem resolution
- Participate in technical projects, including configuration, customization, and communication with vendors
- Conduct research and evaluation of new software and assist team members with technical inquiries
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise or equivalent education and experience
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance, including SMP/E
- Proficient in TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, and Unix System Services (USS)
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and under stress during major incidents
