Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
Supporting ongoing projects, the full-time remote Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer will manage the installation, upgrade, testing, configuration, and implementation of ISV software while providing on-call support and technical assistance to team members.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and provide incident/problem resolution for ISV software
- Participate in technical projects, including configuration and customization of z/OS components
- Communicate with vendors and assist in the research and evaluation of new software solutions
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance, including SMP/E
- Proficiency in TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, and Unix System Services (USS)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and remain calm under pressure during major incidents
