Senior Manager Advocacy Communications

Job Summary

Supporting the Internet Society's advocacy efforts, the full-time Senior Manager Advocacy Communications will manage the development of compelling narratives and campaigns to effectively communicate policy positions to diverse global audiences while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver proactive advocacy communications campaigns aligned with strategic priorities
• Craft clear narratives that translate policy and technical inputs into accessible messaging for international audiences
• Support media engagement strategies and prepare spokespeople with strong advocacy messaging for international media

Required qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in advocacy communications or strategic communications across multiple countries or regions
• Proven experience communicating to advocacy audiences, including policymakers and civil society in various contexts
• Background in civil society, Internet governance, or technology policy
• Strong policy fluency with the ability to translate complex policy positions into effective communications
• Demonstrated experience in media engagement, including preparation of press materials and messaging
