Senior Manager AI/ML Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the remote Senior Manager AI/ML Engineering will provide strategic and technical leadership for AI platform execution, ensuring secure and scalable delivery of reusable AI services while addressing complex healthcare challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for AI platform execution across Payment Integrity and Optum Real
• Lead and inspire a team of AI/ML engineers, fostering a culture of trust and execution excellence
• Design and deliver intelligent workflows and applications that leverage AI to enhance healthcare operations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Science, or Analytics, with 3+ years in AI/ML engineering
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams of 5+ people
• Technical experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with DevSecOps and automated CI/CD practices, with proficiency in Python or similar languages
