Senior Manager, Category Narrative

Job Summary

Driving the category narrative for a remote full-time position, the Senior Manager, Category Narrative will define Affirm's unique space in the financial ecosystem, develop messaging frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity and consumer trust in the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Own and define the category narrative, ensuring consistency across various platforms and communications
• Develop and maintain messaging frameworks that articulate Affirm's approach to credit and consumer protection
• Partner with Legal, Policy, and Product teams to align the narrative with evolving product capabilities and regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in narrative strategy, communications, policy, or financial services
• Deep understanding of financial products and ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
• Proven track record in navigating regulated communication environments while maintaining narrative integrity
• Strong editorial skills with the ability to create messaging that withstands scrutiny from various stakeholders
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams and aligning diverse stakeholder interests
