Senior Manager, Data Engineering

Job Summary

To drive the architecture and strategy of a modern enterprise data platform, the remote full-time Senior Manager, Data Engineering will lead the central data team, support organization-wide data initiatives, and prepare teams for AI readiness through innovative data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive platform strategy and architecture by defining the technical roadmap for the Enterprise Data Platform using tools like Snowflake and dbt
• Balance platform evolution with business support, transitioning teams toward a modern operating model while aiding critical data initiatives
• Embed AI into data analytics by designing pipelines and analytics models to prepare teams for AI integration

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in transitioning data structures into AI-ready units and knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures
• Five or more years of experience leading high-performing data engineering or analytics teams
• Deep architectural knowledge of Snowflake and dbt, including analytics engineering and modeling standards
• Experience with self-service data platform environments and Data Mesh architectural frameworks
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud-native ETL/ELT tools, preferably Matillion Data Productivity Cloud
