Senior Manager - Datacenter Operations

Job Summary

Driving the end-to-end management of enterprise storage platforms and data protection solutions, the full-time Senior Manager - Datacenter Operations will oversee multi-site environments while ensuring data durability and compliance, with opportunities for remote work from Lynchburg or Richmond.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multi-site storage and data protection environments to ensure optimal performance and availability of enterprise storage platforms and backup services
• Develop and enforce operational procedures for storage systems and recovery processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Lead and mentor a distributed team, establishing clear goals and promoting a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or 10+ years in IT Infrastructure roles, including 5+ years in management of datacenter operations
• Strong understanding of enterprise storage platforms and data protection technologies, along with disaster recovery practices
• Proven experience managing budgets and optimizing infrastructure costs, including vendor management
• Strong leadership skills with experience leading technical teams in high availability environments
• Effective communication skills to translate complex data protection concepts to business stakeholders
