Senior Manager, FP&A

Job Summary

Partnering with Discovery R&D groups, the full-time Senior Manager, FP&A will lead financial planning and forecasting activities, develop financial models, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance business partner for all Discovery groups, including Computational Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, and Toxicology
• Lead the financial planning process, including annual planning, mid-year reforecast, and quarterly budget meetings for Discovery groups
• Develop and maintain financial models and budgets to track spending and headcount plans across programs and projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA or CPA preferred
• 8 - 12 years of professional FP&A experience within biotech, pharma, or life sciences
• Strong understanding of R&D life cycles and preclinical drug discovery processes
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems and financial planning tools is preferred
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
