Senior Manager of Accounting

Job Summary

Overseeing and optimizing core accounting processes in a fast-paced logistics environment, the full-time Senior Manager of Accounting will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data while driving operational efficiency and supporting month-end close activities remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month-end and period close activities, including reconciliations, journals, and intercompany transactions
• Produce operational and management reports, explaining variances and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit readiness
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting visibility and financial control across accounting operations

Required qualifications

• 5-8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, focusing on compliance and operational accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience in logistics or inventory-intensive environments
• Proven experience managing month-end close activities and account reconciliations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred or in progress)
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems knowledge, with the ability to analyze large data sets
